Who We Serve
Therapy services for every stage of life
Glebe Counselling offers a warm, integrative approach to therapy that supports clients through every stage of life—from children and youth to adults, families, couples, and seniors.
From the first session, we work with clients to understand what brings them to therapy, identify where they would like to go, and develop a clear therapeutic plan. A plan that starts with a beginning, middle, and end—helping clients feel supported as they start, guided as they grow, and empowered as they move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
Adults & Individuals
Every therapist is different, but you can always expect a collaborative and welcoming environment. During your first session, you will meet to discuss your specific challenges and receive support in a compassionate way.
The duration of therapy is highly individual and depends entirely on your specific goals. Some clients engage in short-term therapy to navigate a specific life transition, process a recent change, or develop targeted coping strategies. Others prefer longer-term, ongoing support to work through deeper relational dynamics, process past experiences, and build lasting emotional resilience. You and your therapist will regularly review your progress to ensure the timeline makes sense for your needs.
University Students
You must be a student in a post-secondary institution. We support students enrolled full-time and part-time in colleges, universities, and apprenticeships across Canada.
No, there is no limit! You can see an intern therapist as long as they are at Glebe and as long as you are a student.
Any of our intern therapists offer counselling for students through our Student Care Fund.
Children
We offer play and art informed therapy, music therapy, and talk-based therapy. Your therapist may use a combination of any of these modalities to best support you and your child.
We see children between the ages of 4 and 12. If you think your child might benefit from therapy but are unsure, call us today at 226-898-4016.

Adolescents
In Ontario, there is no general age of consent to treatment or counselling; rather, the distinguishing factor of whether someone can engage in therapy depends on whether the young person can willingly consent. This will be discerned by the therapist.
No. Unfortunately, the student rate we offer of $35/session only applies to those who hold a university or college email.
Couples
Sessions can range between 50 and 90 minutes depending on your needs. Please discuss session length with your therapist.
The therapist acts as a third-party facilitator. Their goal is to help couples seek understanding, not to decide who is right and wrong.

Families
Family therapy offers a safe space for families experiencing emotional stress, conflict, and challenges, to heal and grow. It is not a sign of failure but rather a sign of strength! Family therapy helps families resolve conflicts by unpacking family dynamics and narratives. Family therapy can help improve family relationships, build healthy boundaries, and help families operate a unit. Some issues families may be facing include conflicts between family members, separation or divorce, grief, substance use, and other mental health challenges.
